=== Order in which actions are to be dealt with ===

 1. The Court shall deal with the actions before it in the order in which they become ready for hearing in accordance with Rule [[UPCA_RoP_108|108]]

 2. The presiding judge of a local or regional division, the President of the Court of First Instance or the President of the Court of Appeal may after hearing the parties (Rule [[UPCA_RoP_264|264]]): 

  (a) direct that a particular action be given priority and that time limits provided for in these Rules be shortened; <<BR>>
  (b) defer an action to be dealt with later, in particular with a view to facilitating an amicable settlement of the dispute.
